The Original Springs Hotel

One of our favorite trips has been to the Original Springs located in Okawville, Illinois. Established in 1867, this hotel was known for its miraculous healing mineral springs which flowed beneath the building. The Original Springs has quite a fascinating history and continues to stand the test of time while hotels and health resorts have risen and fallen all around it. We definitely recommend booking a room (and a bath!) for a very relaxing weekend trip.
