Pine Hill Cemetery

If you have read the story on our MO Stories page about Spook Hollow, this is it. It is not the scary place in the daytime as the story writer experienced it at night. The views are beautiful at the edge of this cemetery, over-looking a cliff down to the river below. It's quite a drive to get to this location, and very rural. This cemetery looks very well cared for, although many of the stones are in desperate need of preservation. Many of them have fallen or been knocked over and are starting to sink into the ground. There are a few stones missing from near the entrance, possibly taken by the thrill seekers visiting at night. One interesting fact is that some of the Snelson family of the Snelson-Brinker cabin are buried here.
